I just watched this incredible performance from Jennifer Lin on TED. She's was 14 year's old and her talent was really stunning. And if it wasn't enough, after playing two quite hard piece of classical music .. she just improvise another one on the fly in front of a live audience.
I also like when she makes parallels between creating music and drawings, because of course she's not only a pianist, she also draw mangas (sorry I made a quick search and failed to find any of her drawings on the net :/). She sums up pretty well the pains of creating original art from scratch and how to ignite the creative process. But the part when she talked about polishing and fine tuning could have been pictured more accurately in one word: iterations.
Iteration makes everything betters from art to programming to car making. Everything, even us. Anyway, enough talk.
Note: if you're not too much into piano and classical music, at least listen @22:00.
